Coroico

The remote town of Coroico is located at 3,000 feet in mountainous jungle, 50 miles northeast of La Paz, Bolivia, in the western Andes. It is only accessible by a three hour drive from La Paz down a dirt road called "Camino de Los Muertos" (Road of the Dead).

The "Camino de Los Muertos", as seen from another section of the same road. If you look closely you can see a tiny white vehicle. It's actually a large bus slowly navigating the narrow one-way passage.

An unusual butterfly seen along the road.
