Sequoia National Park

(located in Central California)

I bet Alice never tried these mushrooms!

A HUGE waterfall. Well worth the hike.

The Sherman Tree. The largest living thing on Earth. 275' high, 37' in diameter at base. Born approximately 500 BC.

A beautiful purple wildflower. Type unknown.

Sunset over the Sequoias.

Sequoia National Park is a must-see in California. Nothing reflects the enormity of the state like these mammoth trees. If you stay in Visalia, the forest is a couple hours drive northeast into the mountains. The road is narrow and twisting---a challenge not suited to inexperienced drivers.
